Dear Friend,

I want to tell you about a conversation I had when I was first getting started with my current business. I had to share this conversation because I believe it is the perfect illustration of what not to do if you want to start a successful business. One that lets you spend your days reading, writing, thinking, and creating.

This guy hops on our call——and within the first minute——he's already deep into the weeds of personal knowledge management. He's talking about second brains, Obsidian bubble graphs, and Zettelkasten linking strategies like he's presenting a doctoral thesis.

He starts peppering me with questions. He'd seen some of my posts around Reddit and seen some of my YouTube videos and figured I must have the answers he was seeking. He wants to know about the optimal folder structure for his digital notes. He's asking about the pros and cons of different tagging systems. He's debating whether he should use the PARA method or create his own organizational system.

I'm sitting there——watching him go down this rabbit hole of productivity tools and systems——bored out of my mind. This guy is doing what I call "majoring in the minor." He's so caught up in the minutiae of note-taking systems that he's completely lost sight of the reason to take notes in the first place.

He went on and on about backlinks, graph views, daily notes, spaced repetition. He was comparing different apps, talking about their various plugins and themes.

In all of this technical jargon, he completely missed the point. He hadn't figured out the one thing that really matters——producing work that actually matters!

He got done with his monologue, and I asked him how much he had actually produced after taking all of these digital notes. If you have been following me for any length of time, I'm sure you can guess the answer...

He Hadn't Produced a Single Piece of Content!

Not a blog. Not a Tweet. Definitely not a book. So, I interrupted his PKM monologue and laid it out for him straight:

All those notes and links won't matter at all if you don't get down to actually publishing. The problem with all these digital systems is that they give the illusion that something big is happening. That you're making massive progress.

When in reality, it's like screaming into a box. You're not getting anything out there. And because there's a million different options for what to do, it seems like you're doing something really fancy! Like you're a real researcher doing cutting-edge work.

It's like a 5-year-old boy with a hard hat and a toy dump truck. Sure, he feels like a construction worker. He even looks like one. But I can assure you...

He Hasn't Built Any Houses!

And it's the same with these Obsidian users. They do a long ritualistic dance of linking and note-taking only to produce zero output.

This is why I created Write to Freedom. To help people focus on what really matters——creating valuable knowledge and building a sustainable, profitable business around it.

Here's the deal: If you're ready to stop playing with digital toys and start building a real writing business——I want to work with you personally.

I've created a detailed 44-minute video that outlines everything you need to know about the best business model for independent creators, thinkers, writers. This is the exact model that allows me to make multiple six figures a year by writing just one thing per month.

In this video, I show you how you can scale your writing business to $20,000 per month. You just need to consistently produce valuable content.

When you join Write to Freedom, I work with you personally to implement this business model. I guide you through the process of creating content that resonates with your audience, building a loyal subscriber base, and scaling your income.

This is about building a sustainable business that allows you to spend your days doing what you love: reading, writing, and thinking.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, I urge you to watch the video now:

After watching, we can have a friendly, casual discussion about any questions you have. If it's a fit, great. If not, great——but at least you'll be educated about the best business model out there for creating the lifestyle you truly want.

If that sounds like something you'd like——then I implore you to watch this video now. It could be the spark that ignites in you a new fire to create the life you've dreamed about.

Warm regards,

And always remember,

To stay crispy, my friend.
