The Antinet movement is growing

Scott P. Scheper

Downtown San Diego, CA

Dear Friend,

It is a Saturday afternoon in Downtown San Diego. I am at my office doing some 'work' before I head to a wedding this evening. The wedding is for my fiancé's friend. It's not some uptight traditional wedding. The theme is water, earth, fire, and air. It's inspired by an anime show called Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Quite frankly, I'm not into this anime stuff. Never have been (and secretly never will be)—But since my lovely fiancé is into it and since she's going to be the one officiating the wedding, I hereby declare myself an anime rockstar today. In fact, anime is the coolest thing in the world today.

OK, with that out of the way, I wanted to share a few Antinet updates with you.

First off, the Antinet movement is growing! We now have over 400 members on Reddit. I also recently passed 1,000 subscribers on my YouTube channel. Woohoo!

Who would've thought that an audience would form around an analog knowledge system?! Frankly, I did. And here's why:

The Antinet just simply works for developing knowledge. It's hard to explain, yet many of you know this to be true. I've heard it from you first-hand. I've heard how you tried digital notetaking apps like Obsidian, only to find yourself spinning your wheels. Chances are, you know I had this same exact experience. This led me to unearth the Antinet Zettelkasten in the first place. Now we have a community unlocking more insights into the nature of Luhmann's original system.

I won't keep beating the dead horse (Obsidian). By now, you probably already realize the power of the analog thinking system.

So why am I writing to you on this fine weekend in May 2022?

It's to tell you how exciting and early this movement is. It's also to tell you that you're on the ground floor and get to see it all unfold.

Listen: I'm a copywriter and a marketer. And damnit!—I'm a pretty good one at that. Yet, I've only ever marketed other people's stuff. I've built movements around even something as puzzling as a geospatial cryptocurrency. Building a movement around myself and my belief in analog systems remains foreign to me. It feels a bit odd, honestly. However, what drives me and pushes me forward is seeing just how effective the system actually is. The system of developing the mind using pen, paper, and your brain is something I believe in. The fact is: there's not a loud enough voice declaring the power of analog. Too many folks in Personal Knowledge Management are distracted by the latest digital tools. No mas! We're changing this narrative.

I recall only a short time ago, the Antinet Reddit Community had only one member (Metakasten). Today, we have 448 members. This is huge growth. And it's come without spending even one penny on advertising! (Not spending money on advertising is a rare thing for me, I like to get my message out there as loud as possible).

If you haven't already joined the Antinet Reddit Community, please do so now:

However, I have one more ask:

If you have already joined the Antinet Reddit Community, then please do one more thing:

Write a post introducing yourself!

Yes, I'm inviting you to create a post on Reddit. Scary ol' Reddit (it's not that bad). Share pictures of your Antinet. Share your goals. Share your occupation. Share the nifty features and additions you've built into your Antinet.

Why am I asking you to do this? It's simple. The diversity of community helps everyone compound their growth and knowledge, together.

Want proof? Try this: head over to the Antinet Reddit Community to see it for yourself. There's some fascinating material on there. Like this post:

And always remember,

To stay crispy, my friend.

P.S. Last week I decided to hire a business coach. I'm really looking forward to having someone finally bounce ideas off of. While Stewie (my Antinet) has been great, it would be nice to bounce ideas off an actual human being. I won't be starting the coaching until June 6th. Quite frankly, I'm not sure what you should expect. High-level, I'd say, look for me to offer an awesome product or service in the next few months. One that helps impact your knowledge development. Not sure if the product(s) initially offered will be for everyone. It may cater to a segment of Antinetters who are interested in higher-end, more immersive help in reaching their goals. Or maybe not. We'll figure things out. Also, the book is still being actively edited and refined, too! I hope you've enjoyed the sample pieces I've been sharing.

P.P.S. I released two awesome videos last week. The first one gives you a detailed look at my Antinet Zettelkasten: The second video I just released today. It is my very last 1-on-1 Antinet Coaching session. I told you I only was doing this for a limited time, and damnit, I meant it! Here's the link:
