Dear Friend,
I'm thinking of getting custom wooden noteboxes made for your Antinet Zettelkasten work.
But before I get into the details, I'd like to share with you something that happened earlier today. It took place right before I left my house for the office this afternoon.
I think this story will do good to balance out last week's email in which I ranted about my diet of eating only steak (like a freaking lion).
Lest you think I'm a carnivorous animal-hating meat-eater, I think this story will prove that I am not.
Today's story is about...

So with that out of the way, let's get into brass tacks—or actually, wooden tacks:
I'm Thinking about Making and Selling Custom Wooden Noteboxes for Your Antinet Zettelkasten.
These wooden noteboxes would be like Niklas Luhmann's Zettelkasten.
I'm still very early in exploring this; however, I'd like to gauge what you think of this.
I won't lie. One hour I find the idea of this project overwhelming (with all of the other stuff I'm working on with the book launch and my Neo-Intellectuals). But the next hour, I'm like Hell yeah, I should at least start the conversation with woodworkers and manufacturers.
With that said, I'd like to ask your help.
Do you know anyone who is a woodwork specialist? Do you know anyone who you think would be an absolute pro in building custom noteboxes for the Antinet?
I will be working with this person to build and craft the absolutely perfect notebox for an Antinet Zettelkasten.
What does the absolutely perfect notebox look like?
(1) It would contain beautiful wood.
(2) It would be affordable (but not cheap).
(3) The cabinet doors would slide open and close easily without squeaking.
(4) The cabinet drawers would be low enough so that it's easy to peruse the notecards without having to take them out of the box.
(5) They would have a special nature about them that makes analog knowledge development quiet, special, and awesome.
(6) Inside each cabinet, there would be a backstop mechanism so that when the cabinet isn't completely full, the cards can rest against a backstop (until they fill the entire cabinet).
I would start with boxes that fit 4x6" cards.
I'm thinking they would come in sets comprised of either two cabinets or three cabinets per container. The goal would be to make them connectable and stackable, so that they can easily be stacked on top of one another.
These are my thoughts so far.
I'm thinking out loud here, and I'm serious enough about this to write about it.
I have yet to compile a list of suppliers and manufacturers, which is why I'm asking for your help.
It would be amazing if I could find a woodworking supplier and manufacturer from my current list of Antinetters! Therefore, I'm opening this up to the universe:
If you know any woodworkers who you think are awesome, and would take on a job like this, please reply to this email and let me know.
I appreciate you, and I can't wait to share the book with you.
The interior design of the Antinet book has commenced and it's looking awesome!
Warm regards,
And stay crispy, my friend.
