I am going to tell you about something ridiculous. It is something ridiculous to most people, to outsiders. It is seemingly impossible. However, what I'm going to share with you is not ridiculous. It is my everyday life.
You see, two years ago I was making $0 per month, and then I came up with this crazy, seemingly ludicrous plan to restore an old school business model that revolves around analog knowledge.
In case you are new to my army of crazy old school revolutionaries who do things the old way——that is, writing by hand——the term analog means physical, tactile, something that you can touch. I believe that there is a power to writing by hand and to organizing note cards in front of you so that you can digest knowledge and properly stage it into written work. Now, let me go back to two years ago...
I was making $0 a month and I decided to invest an entire year in writing a book about the teeny tiny niche known as Zettelkasten. At the time, everyone and their fricking mother was obsessed with digital PKM tools. They were obsessed with using metadata conventions and linking notes and visualizing it with stupid bubble graphs that made them feel less like the procrastinating fools that they were.
Sorry if this sounds harsh——it pisses me off so much to scroll around Twitter and the Zettelkasten community and see everyone do everything else besides produce output.
You see, Zettelkasten is there to help one produce knowledge, be that written knowledge, a course, coaching, some other piece of intellectual capital such that you can contribute back to the world and make an impact on the readers you were meant to serve.
Well, I noticed this trend two years ago——that everyone was missing the main point. One of the key pieces of success for Niklas Luhmann, the most influential originator of Zettelkasten, all revolved around how he used his Zettelkasten. He used it the old school way...

Therefore, I decided to reverse engineer his entire system and write a book about this. Now, when I launched the book, I could have done what everyone else does. They simply upload the book to Amazon KDP, sell it on Amazon, and then hope and pray that the magical masses of people will find the book and somehow they will make a living off of that.
That is what 99.99% of people out there do. And guess what? 99.99% of people out there fail. They fail to make a consistent living. They fail to even crack more than $300 per month in royalties from Amazon's broken system. That is why I decided to craft a completely different model.
My business model revolves around not only selling a book——it revolves around selling the book yourself and then implementing something on the backend that will allow you to make a consistent, constant monthly recurring revenue income stream. Two years ago, nobody was doing this business model.
