Dear Friend,

Have you ever thought about going back to school and getting a master's or PhD in some field completely different from what you studied in undergrad?

For instance, in undergrad I studied business finance. However, a few years ago, I was seriously considering going to the Stanford Graduate School to get a master's in philosophy. The reason? I wanted a whole new way of reading and engaging with texts. I wanted to develop the mental framework and tools that trained scholars use to approach deep philosophical works.

More recently, I have become fascinated with the early first century period of Judea and Galilee——around the times of Jesus and the formation of the New Testament. I find myself intrigued with all of the books and texts that emerged during this time.

However, I have absolutely no formal training in this disciplinary field, which brings me to a critical question I've wondered for quite some time:

Why is it that if one wants to learn the reading strategies of trained scholars——for instance, trained biblical scholars——they have to get a master's degree and a PhD?

That's right. I've investigated the fields out there and there is no practical getting started guide for reading like a trained scholar. That means if you want to actually learn to think and use the tools that trained scholars use, you'll need to get a master's degree——which could cost up to $100,000——and then a PhD——another $200,000. That's $300,000 in student loan debt just to learn these analytical tools. That is, up until today.

You see, there is a book that I have read recently that I believe is one of the best books——if not the best book——I have read in 2024. It is written by a trained biblical scholar with a PhD named Richard Cunningham.

Dr. Cunningham wrote an engaging and compelling book that extracts from his experience studying at schools such as the University of Chicago and the Claremont School of Theology. He has taken all of his knowledge over his decade-plus experience studying biblical texts, and he has extracted a dead simple three-part framework for engaging with old books and old texts.

Now, here's the most important part: Not all of you are interested in reading the New Testament or biblical books. However, you still should buy Richard's book. Why? Because you'll learn three textual analysis tools for approaching ancient texts.

Once you learn this three-part framework, you will have a completely new lens and way to extract meaning out of every single book you read. Whether that may be reading the Gospels or Plato's Republic, you will gain an insanely rich understanding that you otherwise would not glean from the books.

This is why I would like to implore you to pick up a copy of Richard's book, which is out now today. It is a well-written 188-page book that is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding reads I have ever picked up.

You'll learn a new framework that consists of three parts that you can use whenever you are approaching a nonfiction book that is older than 100 years old.

Here's the best part: Richard has decided to make his book available for free. It is a physical book that will be shipped to your doorstep. All you have to do is pay the cost of printing and shipping the book, which comes out to $7.96.

In addition to this, I also highly recommend you pick up a trial to his analog monthly newsletter. He has put together a course that would otherwise cost, in my opinion, $2,000——and he's giving it away for free for those who try out his physical monthly newsletter.

After you purchase his book, you have the opportunity to also try out his physical monthly newsletter if you want. I personally am paying for it myself. I would highly recommend it for any other serious independent scholar.

Warm regards,

And always remember,

To stay crispy, my friend.

"A Man Who Is A Trained Everyday Biblical Scholar!"

P.S. I do not get an affiliate fee for promoting Richard's book. I'm doing it because, (a) I've read The Everyday Biblical Scholar and I think it has the potential to change your life, and (b) I've worked closely with Richard over the past six months through my writing incubator, Write to Freedom. In doing so, I've seen Richard's commitment to writing, excellence and learning. He's one of my favorite individuals on the planet. Trust me. You would do well to not only pick up Richard's book, but also take up his special offer and join his community (you'll see this after you purchase his book).

P.S. #2 Here's the link again:
